Service Agreement

By submitting a consultation request or purchasing services from The Bard's Workshop, you agree to the following terms.
1. Nature of Services
The Bard's Workshop provides independent technology consulting services, including recommendations, planning assistance, troubleshooting guidance, product evaluations, and written or verbal consultation.
Services are advisory in nature. The Bard's Workshop does not provide physical installation, electrical work, low-voltage contracting, repair services, or equipment sales unless explicitly stated in writing.
2. Payment
All consultation fees are due prior to service delivery.
Fees are charged as flat-rate services based on the selected consultation tier.
3. Refund Policy
Because consultations involve the delivery of professional knowledge, analysis, and recommendations, refunds are generally not available after services have been rendered or written deliverables have been provided.
If a consultation cannot be completed, The Bard's Workshop may, at its sole discretion, provide a partial or full refund.
4. Recommendations and Client Decisions
Recommendations are based on information provided by the client and on professional judgment at the time of consultation.
The client remains solely responsible for all purchasing, installation, configuration, and implementation decisions.
The Bard's Workshop does not guarantee that any specific product, service, configuration, or recommendation will meet every expectation or perform identically in every environment.
5. No Guarantee of Results
Technology environments vary significantly.
While every effort is made to provide accurate and practical guidance, The Bard's Workshop cannot guarantee specific performance outcomes, compatibility results, network speeds, wireless coverage, audio quality, smart home functionality, or other measurable results.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Bard's Workshop shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from the use of consultation services or recommendations.
Any liability arising from services provided shall be limited to the amount paid by the client for the specific consultation.
7. Confidentiality
Information shared by clients during consultations will be treated as confidential and will not be publicly disclosed without permission, except as required by law.
Generalized lessons learned may be incorporated into educational content without identifying the client or revealing private information.
8. Intellectual Property
Written recommendations, reports, diagrams, and other deliverables remain the intellectual property of The Bard's Workshop.
Clients are granted a non-transferable license to use deliverables for their personal household or project.
Deliverables may not be resold, redistributed, published, or represented as the work of another party without written permission.
9. Independent Advice
The Bard's Workshop does not accept compensation from manufacturers, retailers, or vendors in exchange for product recommendations.
Recommendations are based on the consultant's independent assessment of the client's goals, budget, and requirements.
10. Acceptance
By submitting a consultation request, scheduling a consultation, or purchasing services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms.
